Dinner at our guest house Tetnuldi Day 3 - Cave City Vardzia and Safara Varzia - Dug into the side of the Erusheli mountain in southern Georgia near Aspindza. It was founded by Queen Tamar in 1185.
The monastery was constructed as protection from the Mongols. Consisted of over six thousand apartments in a thirteen story complex. The city included a church, a throne room, and a complex irrigation system watering terraced farmlands. The only access to the complex was through some well hidden tunnels near the Mtkvari river. So we will see it all Safara - or place to hide - 13th Century landmark nearby Vardzia. Tourists don't always go there after Varzia but we will as this proud landmark of Georgia is simply must see. Packed lunch. Also I should mention Georgia is blessed with food, we will be passing local farmers markets along the way so we will never lack of any food no matter where we are. Depart Varzia and Safara Drive towards North West mountaineering part of Georgia - Racha. But we will stay overnight half way in the old city of Kutaisi. Now we will only stay there for a short period of time you will love it. It has many ancient landmarks, churches, even the first Academy was founded there. The region, called Imereti, is also known with its super hospitality.. you guessed it right? my roots come from that region:)Day 4 and 5 - Racha - ShoviWhy am I so excited about Racha? It is the BEST resort in the Caucasus mountains of Georgia.The famous balneal resort of Shovi is situated in the most picturesque region of Georgia, Racha. Shovi is located at 1520 meters above sea level, at 30 km from the regional centre the city Oni about 230 km distance from Tbilisi.
The air to breath is extraordinary fresh and clean. The sun shines more than 2000 hours per year. This is the recreational resort to be during the extremely hot Georgian summers escaping the the heat of the cities. For 2 days we will track mountains, visit all natural spring waters running in the forests, relax body and mind next to Shaori Lake and maybe meditate on top of mountain peak, OK that is optional. See the perfect architectural works of Nikortsminda - 11th century. 
Day 6 and 7 - Batumi
Its simply haven. Sun...Sea...Beach...Fun...How can we go wrong? OK want more culture? Sure, Gonio is right next to Batumi. It is the oldest fortress in Georgia located 2 km from Batumi, near the border with Turkey. The fortress was constructed in the 1st the 2nd centuries and functioned as a citadel of Roman and afterwards Byzantian Empire. 
8 - Night Train to Tilisi - LondonYou will have a full day and night to relax in the capital, buy souverneirs and throw a coin in the water wishing to come back soon:) You will, I promise!
